What Could Make I, Frankenstein Better

Putting it simply, I, Frankenstein was a snooze fest in every way possible. How does a film create this type of boredom? What could make this film better?

I, Frankenstein: Review

I, Frankenstein goes for a cliched story while failing to surprise with the few twists it does have. Even with a small nod to Mary Shelley's classic, this film suffers from major brooding, unsustainable dialogue and 3D that's barely there.

What Could Make Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit Better

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is a film that disappoints as an action movie and a spy thriller. Jack Ryan is so much more than a generic hero, but the creators had no clue as to how to bring Ryan into a more modern, Post-9/11 setting. What could have made Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit better.

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit - Movie Review

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is a by-the-book action thriller with very few thrills and less action. Marketed as a spy thriller and the tagline, "Trust no one," the film fails to succeed in even the basics of creating a successful spy film, thriller film, and action film.

What Could Make The Legend of Hercules Better

The Legend of Hercules was poor film making at its finest. From the acting to the script, nothing worked, and nothing made sense. There was no feasible reason that this film had to be made. It could have been the sheer prospect that another Hercules-based film is arriving later in the year and this was a quick cash grab. This just makes Summit Entertainment and Millennium Films those second-rate parody entertainment companies that release parody films that relate to big budget blockbusters. What could make The Legend of Hercules Better?

Cinema Rant: What Did The Academy Snub in Nominees and Predictions

The 86th Academy Awards have been announced and there were some surprises and many big snubs, as usual. With a stacked year in amazing film making there would be snubs, but who was snubbed and who surprised? Who will win and who will lose?

Batman Villains in New DC Universe

Batman has one of the most memorable rogues galleries in comic book history. With Man of Steel 2, and Justice League films coming out in the near future, how will this effect the villains of the Batman universe? Villains such as Penguin and Joker are rendered near useless in the grounded realm that Zack Snyder and Christopher Nolan are bringing to the big screen. How will Warner Bros. handle future villains in upcoming Batman films?

Her: Movie Review

Spike Jonze creates a film willing to take surprising risks. Her is a masterfully written, gleaming portrait at the modernism of love. Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson transform a seemingly far-fetched love story into the romance of the decade.

The Legend of Hercules: Movie Review

The Legend of Hercules is a laugh riot filled with flat dialogue, one dimensional characters, poorly crafted special effects and extremely muddled subplots. Kellan Lutz gives his utterly best, but is overshadowed by this gargantuan of a bomb.

What Could Make Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones Better

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones was an unnecessary sequel/prequel to the self-destructing Paranormal Activity franchise. Bad acting, shaky cameras, and crummy dialogue go hand in hand with the franchise, but this film couldn't make up for it's lack of effort. What could have made this film better, if anything?

How to Make an Aquaman Film

Aquaman has never been given a chance on the big screen. People laugh at his powers to talk to fish, but he is much more than a merman. He rules the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, is a founding member of the Justice League, and has a trident that could make Superman bleed. How do you make a good Aquaman film? Well, it's really simple and just takes some big balls.

Paranormal Activity - The Marked Ones: Movie Review

Another unnecessary installment in the Paranormal Activity franchise. The Marked Ones uses its hour and a half running time to feed the audience the mythology of a dying franchise. There are few good moments and even fewer scares.

What Could Make 2014 Better In Film

2013 brought us bad parody films, large failing blockbusters, crappy sequels, and some not so good reboots. 2014, is here with new hopes and dreams. We're going to receive crappy films no matter what, but I have hope this year. I have hope that studios will make some changes for the better.
